Teaching the attack on Pearl Harbor can be difficult. This activity will give you everything you need to get your students talking about a day that still lives in "Infamy".
This "The Attack on Pearl Harbor: The Day of Infamy" Activity includes:
1) A set of questions that test your students knowledge of what happened during the attack on Pearl Harbor. This will get your students minds ready for the next portion of the activity, analyzing FDR's request to Congress for a declaration of war. Students will read the speech and answer questions that ask them to connect such concepts as checks and balances. It asks them to step into the shoes of an American isolationist and contemplate whether or not FDR's speech would convince them to support the war. This activity will give you everything you need to teach your students about the most infamous military attack on the Untied States.
This activity can be used in many different ways in the classroom. Students can work independently, in pairs or this activity can be used as a jigsaw in order to facilitate a class wide discussion about the topics discussed in the activity.
2) A detailed answer key to the lesson activity to save you time and help guide student comprehension.
