This resource is designed to be a fun and engaging way to teach your students about data collection. This activity is a great one to do in the fall or around Halloween.
If you really want to get the kids excited you could have the students carve their pumpkins as a culminating activity!
Within this resource you will find a 7-page booklet for your students to work through in groups. They will have the opportunity to record information regarding their pumpkin’s appearance, mass, volume, measurements, “rollability”, and more.
Students will also be provided with the opportunity to represent the data collected in the form of different graphs as an assessment activity.
This activity is designed to take 2 days, or two seperate classes.
