PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Students will read and analyze quotes from Transcendentalist Writer Ralph Waldo Emerson and make connections between the quotes and the main themes, symbols of the novel. Students can work individual, with a partner or in groups. After the initial worksheet, is each quote in large text. I would often give each pair or group one quote to look at and analyze and then share with the class. The class can then use the original worksheet to take notes on each quote.

The worksheet includes a brief statement about Trascendentalist values and ideas if students are not already familiar.
