The Aztecs were one of the three dominant and advanced civilizations in the Americas prior to the arrival of Europeans. The Aztec Empire was located in central Mexico. It ruled much of the region from the 1400s until the Spanish arrived in 1519. This is a web search designed to give students historical background knowledge about the Aztecs and their role in history. During the search they use a variety of strategies and skills that will prepare them to do research using the internet.
During the internet hunt the students are asked to answer questions about the daily life of the Aztecs, their homes, families, and religious beliefs.
This is a great way to increase your students ability to use technology as part of their whole learning experience.
