Students will be asked to watch a video which will provide a detailed accounting of George Washington's crossing of the Delaware River and his attack on Trenton. An article with a historical accounting of both battles is also required reading before beginning the webquest. George Washington's setbacks in New York, the poor condition of his army in the winter of 1776, Washington's daring crossing of the icy Delaware River, the attack on Trenton and the Hessian troops, and the defeat of the British at Princeton, are all covered by this webquest.
