Being a "ninja" Teacher
In my "ninja" class, and in real life, ninjas are always on a mission! This booklet is no different!
Guide the children to greatness by giving them "missions" (as opposed to an assignment). Inside, you will find at least 20 missions for them to complete. Some may want/need a time limit per page in order to complete each mission to their best ability! Some children may need a longer time limit. That's ok. Some ninjas do too!
When a page has been completed, you can encourage the child to colour in the ninja at the bottom left of each page. (Show them that this task should only take about 1 minute-It's small for a reason). This way, when you see they have coloured in the ninja, you can ask them questions about the page. You will not have to guess what work has been completed! (Only you will be able to know if the ninjas are distracting. If it is, you can cover it up or cut off the corner and save it for later).
You will be able to target the students that are in need of your help faster. When introducing this package, emphasize that you will be asking them questions when you see that the ninja has been coloured in so they don't colour without having done their work. This serves as a mental time out for them. Most need it to continue.
