This unit includes vocabulary, a guide through each chapter, a vocabulary review, and an end-of-the-book test.
I want to teach students how to think on their own, so this unit has guiding questions and activities for each chapter, but not questions after each chapter. I want children to learn to ask and answer their own questions as they go. My belief is that after they finish a chapter, they want to go on, not answer pre-made questions.
Here are some of the guiding questions that students will be working on as they enjoy this novel. Discuss why you are doing these things often:
