Students are provided with a poorly written "skeleton" paragraph about the Olympics and their beginnings in Ancient Greece. Students are asked to rewrite the paragraph to be a more complete overview of the topic by adding specific details, examples, and information. Rubric is provided to help guide students and to make it easier to provide feedback. Page 3 includes a chart for the pre-writing process to help students collect information to use in their writing. Two copies of the assignment are provided on one sheet to save paper.
