This is designed for Independent Reading or Literary Circles, where students are reading on their own. However, it could be a starting place for teaching this novel. It includes an introduction to Toni Morrison (with articles), an introduction to four literary devices (theme, simile, oxymoron, and point of view), as well as short (and slightly longer) answer questions to accompany the reading.
