The Bone Man
is an exciting traditional Modoc story retold by Laura Simms and illustrated by Michael McCurdy. While it was published over 20 years ago, it can be found in many school and public libraries.
This NO PREP unit was created to support a single read-aloud book.
Comprehension strategies used in this unit are: Problem and Solution, Connection and Visualization, Summarizing, Identifying Plot Points, Compare and Contrast, Alternative Endings, Meaning, and Retell as a Comic
No prep, reading response pages are designed to focused on each reading strategy identified above. Grades 3 to Grade 5 will have success using these response pages.
