Students read a primary source on the Boston Tea Party from the Revolutionary War, answer 8 questions, analyze 5 images by responding to 7 prompts, and complete a creative task for one image. Lastly, there are 3 creative tasks for the Boston Tea Party involving social media, a museum exhibit, and a modern day memorial. The answers are included where appropriate and this would be great for a sub!
Sample questions for the primary source analysis part include:
--Explain the connection between the French and Indian War and the colonists getting closer to declaring independence.
--Why do you think the anti-tea actions taken in Boston are more widely remembered than those in Philadelphia, Charleston, and New York?
--Why do you think "no attempt was made to resist" [the patriots]?
--Compare and contrast the emotions you think the men on board the ships felt as they prepared for the evenings actions and the next morning when they were beating the tea with paddles to completely destroy it.
