This script was written for three students. The script was written for students on a first grade reading level between an E and a J. The plot is as follows: There once was a boy who watched after his sheep. He grew bored and wanted to play tricks on the town people. He cried wolf and called for help when there was no wolf there. Soon they would not believe him when he called for help. One day, the wolf was there for real. When the boy called for help, no one came. I write these scripts for small groups to help with fluency. When the group is small, they don't waste time sitting around waiting for their turn and get more time actually practicing. Reader's Theater actually encourages students who are reluctant to read. It is a fun way to get people to practice. You will also notice most of my scripts, including the picture are in black and white. This makes it easier to print and photocopy without too much ink. My name is Melanie Whitesides but my store name is Wonbyone and I hope that your students enjoy this script as much as mine did. Let me know how things go!
