PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This is an end of unit research paper to complement a study of Deborah Ellis' novel, The Breadwinner.

Included in this zip file are three documents, including:
1) A research G.R.A.S.P.S. and explanation, as well as a research note taking guide and general outline
2) Differentiated drafting guides
3) Common Core aligned rubric

Students can be assigned one of three different essay topics based on individual need and skill level. All students will connect their topic to themes of leadership and overcoming struggles, as seen throughout The Breadwinner.

This is not a "heavy duty" research project and should take roughly one week of class and homework.
*PLEASE NOTE this is not intended to be an in depth research project. Students are asked to record sources, but the emphasis is not on MLA formatting or creating a bibliography, etc.

Please see my other Breadwinner products, too! I hope you find this helpful with your class!
