PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

In this exercise, students are asked to describe how the music of the British Invasion reflected the attitudes, concerns, issues, history, and sensibilities of the era in which their songs were performed. This activity consists of twenty-seven artists and groups (e.g., The Animals, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, etc.) accompanied by twenty- seven examples of their music (e.g., "We've Gotta Get Out of This Place" (1965), ""Strawberry Fields Forever" (1967), "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" (1966), etc.). At the bottom of the exercise are readily accessible sources for further study.
