This project is designed to make our students into historical researchers and producers of historical media. Groups of 4 or 5 learners work as a team to make their own unique discoveries and then share their findings with the class. Access to the internet and some form of desktop presentation software greatly facilitates this project’s timely completion.
The Bronze Age caused a major change in the way humans dealt with their environment. Your students’ mission is to dive into the old stories and histories of the past and discover how people discovered a new and stronger metal. Students can choose to highlight Bronze Age people from any part of the Middle East, Europe, Africa or Asia that interests them.
A brief section on differentiation is included.
This lesson can be used to support learner expectations found in the NCSS Standards II) Time, Continuity, and Change, III) People, Places and Environments, and especially VII) Science, Technology, and Society.
