The Campaign is a team building pirate treasure hunt for large groups of high school or college students, such as leadership camps, orientation, etc. The game is designed for up to 12 teams of 5 to 15 students each, but can be played with fewer teams. There are 37 individual challenges/tasks included, instructions on how to set up the game itself and create the individual challenges (many of which are print off and laminate games), as well as all of the clues, scripts, and debriefing ideas. It has been played by thousands of students over the last decade and always ranks high (ropes course sort of rankings).
There is an initial investment of supplies involved to create some of the challenges, as well as some supplies for the overall game itself. There is also an initial investment of time to put together some of the challenges, print, laminate, etc. Neither one of these investments is huge, but you should not purchase this the day before camp or orientation and expect to have it ready. It will take a little time to shop for some of the supplies (like small treasure chests, buckets, rope, velcro dots, cloth, etc.). They are all easily found, but do require some planning.
The Campaign, however, will last for years once made (I've not yet had to remake my original set from 2003). The game takes around 90-120 minutes total, including a whole group debrief on strategies and, ultimately, what they learned about working as a team. It is perfect as an evening activity.
