Introduction to the "General Prologue" from "The Canterbury Tales" by Geoffrey Chaucer. This PowerPoint show covers content knowledge (frame story, iambic pentameter, irony, characterization, satire) related to the General Prologue, provides information about the pilgrims, and relates the prologue to the historical period from which it arose.
This PowerPoint is useful as an introduction to many of the concepts that students will need to know in order to appreciate "The General Prologue". It is 27 slides long and includes clipart relevant to the time period.
As always, I try to keep my PowerPoint presentations to a price that is between 0.30 and 0.50 per slide, and I never charge over 0.50 per slide.
If you would like to request a PowerPoint over a specific subject related to History, Writing, or Literature (of any sort), please email me at email@example.com. I cannot promise that I will be able to make the presentation for you, but if I have time or if I have something similar that I can modify for you, I will happily create it and make it available on this site for roughly the price scale I would otherwise use.
