I use this power point to introduce the vocabulary for The Case of Pablo's Nose. The students must use the context of the sentence to choose a word to fill in the blank. Once all groups have chosen a word, I show them the vocabulary word and we discuss the meaning. The words the students had chosen are synonyms for the actual vocabulary word. I also give them a 3 column chart that they fill in as we go along. They write the word they think it is, the vocabulary word, and the meaning.
