The Case of the Magic River is a complete, single lesson planning guide. The material is written using a detective theme and includes supplementary hand-out pages. This Case's goal is to help students understand that we need to obey God, even when we don't fully understand what we are asked to do. Naaman is the key person in this lesson.
The lesson is primarily aimed at 4th-5th graders, but can successfully by used with a group that includes 1st-5th graders.
(The Case of the Magic River is one lesson out of a full series, Casebook of Old Testament Heroes. The lessons are being provided as Stand Alone Lessons to make them available to teachers who are only seeking a single lesson or perhaps just a supplementary approach to a lesson they already have.)
