Students work on this culminating activity while reading the novel. They can be put together as a portfolio or scrapbook. All of the tasks are designed to work specifically with The Catcher in the Rye. The tasks are designed to compliment different learning styles.
This activity works very well with split classes. You can assign the essay to the academic students, and fewer of the creative tasks. It is very flexible and editable.
