Ready to escape from a Time Machine?! In this digital escape room, you and your team are faced with a challenging mission: to navigate through time answering questions about the check writing process. The clock is ticking, and you must unravel puzzles, solve riddles, and make critical decisions to successfully escape.
Digital Escape Rooms are all the rage right now! This activity is a great way to practice math in a fun way. My students are always engaged when we go through an escape activity. It is great as a hook, formative assessment, or review.
What's Included:
55 Google Slides that guide students through various puzzles, scrambles, and mazes.
- Start Here Narrative (Theme: Time Travel Dilemma)
- 6 locks/challenges
- Challenge 1: 4 slides containing 1 question each about check writing
- Challenge 2: Hidden code in a crossword puzzle
- Challenge 3: 2 slides containing a drag and drop where students will move the parts of the check onto a check
- Challenge 4: 5 term/definition (see terms below in the SWBAT) slides that reveal a code
- Challenge 5: Puzzle (through jigsawplanet.com)
- Challenge 6: 5 slide maze where students answer questions related to the check writing process
Students Will Be Able To:
- Define: Drawer, Payee, Written amount, Memo line, Endorsement
- Write amount into word form as it would appear on a check.
- Change a written amount as a numeral.
*Note: This product works best with a desktop or laptop. All functionalities do not work on an iPad.
