A 16 pg. clinician authored book about a dog who chews things in the house. He chews a different number of things each day.

The book & materials were designed for students with language difficulties; such as autism and language disorders, but are also appropriate for young children. Good also for early elementary classes for differentiated instruction.

* There are guided reading plans and activities for 5 days.
* There are vocabulary cards with/without text and text labels for drill, practice, or card games.
* There is a sorting activity and Venn diagram activity and suggestions for other classroom discussion about things dogs and people chew.
* There is a calendar activity to identify which days he ate how many of what and pictures to use, as well as vocabulary cards for days of the week and number words. There are several other suggested activities for these, with materials.
* There are sequencing activities, with options for picture symbols or with words.
* There is a categorization activity for the types of things Chester chews, as well as a rooms of the house mat for locating the items and a store map/visual cues for shopping for Chester.
* There are phonological awareness activities for beginning and ending sounds, rhyming words, and counting syllables.

The book graphics are clip art from Oddball Science here on TPT (Oddball Science), and the materials symbols are Symbol Stix from News2You.
