This lecture covers the Chinese Revolution of 1911. It offers enough detail for students to be interested in the topic and remember the story, but also covers a tremendous amount of information. The lecture begins with a review of the weaknesses of the Qing Dynasty, moves on to discuss the details oft he 1911 Revolution, the rise of Sun Yat Sen and then the rise of the Communist Party, and ends with a summary of the Guomindang period of China and nods to its fall.
This is designed as a World History AP lecture, so it goes a bit fast. It can be easily adapted for a more specific lecture if need be.
