This is a fun activity to do in the days leading up to Christmas break. You can play whole-class, or in smaller groups. I like to play one round whole-class, and then have students play in their table groups.
On cardstock, print out and laminate as many copies of the cards as you have groups playing. Put each set in a paper bag. (There are two sets of cards per page.) Print off a set of questions for each group. (I have included a version with a lighter colored background to save on ink). Either laminate or put in clear page protectors.
Students take turns drawing a card from the bag. They answer the question that goes with the card they draw. The card goes back in the bag for the next person. Repeat as time allows. Sometimes I gather everyone back together and have students take turns sharing something they learned about someone else.
I have included both SMARTBoard and PowerPoint versions so that if you are playing with the whole class, you have the option to project the questions, but it is not necessary to do so. This also allows you to edit the questions in PowerPoint.
Thanks for checking out my file. Let me know if you have any questions!
