This 75 page writing mega bundle features three of my Christmas writing packs at a discounted rate!
The packs included in this bundle are:
1. Christmas Mail (Writing Point of View Postcards)
Your students will LOVE this holiday activity! A student will write a postcard from one "character" to another from the character’s point of view.
These can be used in so many ways in your classroom. They can be used as creative writing lessons, center activities, etc. You might also add various requirements to incorporate other parts of the curriculum as well. Ideas might be using vocabulary or spelling words, comma rules, similes, metaphors, idioms, alliteration, four types of sentences, etc. The possibilities are endless!
Students will enjoy designing the stamps, making up the addresses, and adding extra decoration as well. The finished products make a fun holiday bulletin board display as well!
There are 25 postcards included. Each one has a "reply" postcard to provide for the option of students working in cooperative pairs. Featured "characters" include: Santa, Elves, Rudolph, Prancer, Toy Soldier, Gingerbread Men, Christmas Trees, Penguin, Polar Bear, and Snowmen.
Please view the individual product description to see sample thumbnails of the postcard style.
2. Christmas Poetry (Rhyming Activity & Writing Couplets)
Your students will enjoy this Christmas rhyming/couplet activity. Even students who find poetry hard to write will find it much easier with this activity!
This packet includes:
1. Directions for using the activities in your classroom
2. Rhyming brainstorming activity sheets (both color and black/white)
3. Sample brainstorming pages with rhyming words
4. Christmas couplet writing sheet
5. Christmas couplet sample page
6. Six writing templates for good copies of Christmas couplets
3. December Prompts (40 Writing Prompts/Discussion Starters)
Your students will be in the holiday spirit with this set of December writing prompts!
PLEASE NOTE: This prompt set is also sold in my November/ December Writing Prompt Bundle
as well as individually.
This set includes forty December writing prompts. I have included two different prompt formats. The first consists of large, colorful prompts that would work nicely in a winter-themed container.
I have also included three different prompt container labels. They work well on plastic containers or even paper bags (as in the cover photo). I love when the bag/container that holds the prompts is visually appealing. Right away, the task at hand seems much more interesting and inviting to students!
You might select one prompt for the whole class to use (whether as a writing topic or discussion starter). You might also have students reach in and choose their own topics. With 40 topics, each student could have his/her own if you wish.
The second format includes all 40 writing prompts on student sheets (four per sheet). These black and white sheets could be distributed to students as writing prompt menus. I have numbered the sheets to make it easier to remember which ones you have used.
Please note: The majority of prompts in this set deal with a Christmas theme. There are two Hanukkah prompts, two Kwanzaa prompts, and a few winter theme prompts as well.
