This bundle is for the complete lesson on The Circulatory System for a Human Anatomy and Physiology course. These items are sold separately in my store but I'm offering the complete lesson at a discounted price.
The PowerPoint presentation can be used with guided notes that is also included in this bundle. I have also included some links to websites which contain pictures and illustrations which can be used as a supplement to the presentation. Many slides have notes for instructor on my thoughts on discussion topics for that slide. Also are links to videos that I use in class. Videos include one on Sports Science where they determine how long it takes an individual to bleed out due to a cut to a jugular vein. The video shows this actually happening to a hocky player during a game in the 1980's. While going over cardiac output, I show a video from Secretariat running the Belmont Stakes. Also have a link that is an audio to let students hear normal heart sounds and different types of murmurs. Links to videos of heart catheter, a valve replacement and a by-pass surgery. Slides have animation which moves with click of mouse.
Also included are the lesson plans, and two quizzes (one as a make up quiz) with answer keys included. Lesson Plans are included and are based on a 4x4 schedule. I have also included a lab on measuring Vital Signs. There is an exam that consist of 30 multiple choice items and one open response. I have in this bundle a list of anatomical structures for my students when they perform the sheep heart dissection. Students cut the paper from the page in half. One half is used as my check off which I keep for documentation of their grade and the other half the students cut the words out and put a dissection pin through them. The student places the pin with the strip of paper of the anatomical structure in that part of the heart. My students use the Anatomy Coloring Book by Kapit and Elson to learn the anatomy of the heart and the heart conduction system. The textbook my class uses is Hole's, Essentials of Human Anatomy and Physiology. I am listing this for Higher Education as well due to students who I have had in the past who were dual enrolled at local community colleges. My students have stated they cover the same material as we cover in my class. Product is in a Word document so you can edit as you see fit.
