Included are topics such as Jim Crow Laws, Separate but Equal doctrine, Voting Acts, Civil Rights Act, Brown v. Board of Education, Montgomery bus boycott, sit-ins, march from Selma to Montgomery, and Black Nationalism. Notable figures of the movement are included: Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, Rosa Parks, Andrew Goodman, John F. Kennedy, Elijah Muhammed, and Lyndon Johnson. Prominent organizations such as NAACP, Southern Christian Leadership Conference, Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee, Congress of Racial Equality, Mississippi Freedom Democracy Party, Lowndes County Freedom Organization, and Black Panther Party are examined.
