What is equality? Some of these questions will be answered in the actual photographs taken during the 1960's, offered in this PowerPoint. Students will used Visual Thinking Strategies to comprehend the complexity of segregation. Some of these questions will be answered by reading students comprehensible compelling books about the leaders of the Civil Rights Movement:
Martin Luther King, Jr., Rosa Parks, and Ruby Bridges. This PowerPoint is intended for primary aged students. I have used this PowerPoint for first and second graders. At the end are critical thinking questions and a Design a Poster activity.
