It then examines the efforts of the Confederacy to deal with the Union blockade of Southern ports including the famous battle between the CSS Virginia and the USS Monitor. It then briefly covers the battles of Shiloh, New Orleans, and Bull Run. It then examines the tenure of George B. McClellan including a very brief overview of the Peninsula Campaign. It ends by setting up the battle of Antietam and the Emancipation proclamation.
