This 21-slide power point presentation introduces students to the major events of the early-Cold War period. It is designed to be used as the second part of a four-part Cold War Series of lecture notes that are available on TpT (also including the Cold War Overview, The Korean and Vietnam Wars, and The End of the Cold War). This particular power point begins with the struggle between communist and democratic beliefs and then provides a short overview of events including the Berlin Wall, Bay of Pigs, Cuban Missile Crisis, Nuclear Arms Race, and the Space Race. The power point would be appropriate to use in either a World or US history class. Be sure to search for the other Cold War presentations and skeleton outline notes available on TpT that students can complete as you provide the lectures.
