How was the Cold War fought between the US and USSR? This is a two-player game that utilizes cards (included), a board (included), dice, and a "nuclear warhead tracker" (included). The object of the game is to influence countries in order to total more points than your opponent at the end of five turns, without causing the DEFCON level to decrease to 1. The player who causes the DEFCON level to decrease to 1 automatically loses the game. Therefore, students must balance their desire for influence, which can decrease the DEFCON level, their competition in other areas, and their opponents' strategies. Nuclear warhead levels increase each turn (or decrease, as according to the tracker), and are used as "currency" to influence countries on the board. At the end of the game, the player with the most country influence points wins!
