This fun game gives students a chance to research aspects of numerous colleges in a short amount of time. Groups of 3-6 students draw College Research Cards and race to find the information on official college websites. The winner of each round earns money for completing the task. The player with the most money at the end wins. This is a great way to expose students to colleges that they might never would have considered attending. This lesson works wonderfully in AVID classes. This is a high energy and competitive game. My students thoroughly enjoy it!
Sample text from one of the College Research Cards: "Find a college that is in your state that has the smallest average class size. At the end of 4 minutes, the person to find evidence of this will receive $400."
