As I scoured the interwebs looking for a color wheel to teach my students color theory I found that every resource was severely lacking. So I created the last color wheel you will ever need to teach your students color, color vocabulary, and color theory.
The color wheel starts out blank with some areas labeled in light gray (so the paints will cover up the text) and has the 12 colors, a place to paint the muted, tinted and shaded versions of each hue. There are separate boxes to paint warm and cool colors, as well as 4 areas to practice painting transitions. The back of the worksheet has useful color vocabulary and a key to decode the center of the of the color wheel.
I usually have this sheet printed on card stock so my students can paint right onto the worksheet, but you could also have this printed on canvas sheets for a more realistic feel.
