The Complete Social-Emotional Learning Games Bundle

Social-emotional learning (SEL) games are a wonderful way to teach students psycho-educational skills in a no-pressure environment- perfect for both distance learning and face-to-face experiences! This motivational game package allows students to learn and apply both social-emotional skills and academic strategies. These games can be developed and used as the main part of any lesson or group session; alternately, they can be simplified for use in warm-ups and intro/closing activities. You can even use these games in individual counseling sessions if you don’t mind playing along with your student/client! Additionally, these games show kids that both social-emotional learning and counseling are positive experiences- your students will have so much fun playing these games that they will look forward to and even seek out future SEL/counseling opportunities!

Each game comes with: game preparation steps, detailed directions on how to play the game, a mini-lesson on the game topic (topics are listed below), and discussion questions for use in processing the game experience. This resource is appropriate for students in grades 3-12 and is aligned with the American School Counselor Association standards.

Distance Learning Instructions: This resource is easily adapted for the homebound student as long as a parent or family is willing to play the games with them. Simply choose one of the 10 games included, send students the playing materials sheets, and videotape yourself leading the family through the game set up and directions. Alternately, you can skip the videotaping by sending the game directions/materials to the parent and having them facilitate the set up and directions with their child.
