Students read a brief overview of the Congress of Vienna, analyze a map, and answer 12 questions. The 13th question is regarding a political cartoon should your students creativity be up for it. This would be great for a sub and the answers are included where appropriate.
Sample questions include:
--Why were they focused on establishing a balance of power and protecting the monarchies?
--Draw, or describe, the Congress’ attempts at containment.
--Explain the principle of legitimacy. Who did it benefit?
--Were the results of the Congress more of a success, or positive, for the short term or long term and why?
--How did the Congress of Vienna lead to a rise in fervent nationalism?
