PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The first part of this activity is an area for students to take notes on the 6 big ideas contained in the US Constitution: limited government, republicanism, checks and balances, federalism, separation of powers, and popular sovereignty. This is intended to be used with my Introduction to the Constitution PowerPoint.
Next, students are given 6 quotes from the Constitution to analyze and rewrite in their own words. Students will then identify which "big idea" is being referred to by each quote. They can use their notes to help them. Great activity for enhancing literacy, integrating a primary source, and common core aligned.
