This .zip package is a collection of graphic organizers which can be made into a packet to help students break down different elements of the Constitution.
Packet pages include:
The Legislative Branch
The Executive Branch
The Judicial Branch
Separation of Powers/Checks and Balances
The Amendment Process
Each graphic organizer comes with a corresponding question card that guides students in recording the most important information about each topic and an essential question to summarize their learning.
Now included are a packet quiz and a link to a Google Doc version of the packet that I push out to students through Google Classroom and they complete on Chromebooks to save paper.
The page numbers used correspond to the Glencoe "The American Journey" and TCI History Alive "United States Through Industrialism" 8th grade textbooks for California but you could easily edit the page numbers to align with the text you use.
To make it more challenging/advanced, you might have students find the information from a copy of the Constitution rather than the textbook.
*I used a font called "US Declaration" that is available to download for free from www.dafont.com
