This graphic organizer on the Constitution is an excellent means of helping students understand both the ideas behind and the different parts of the Constitution.
On one side of the graphic organizer, students will focus on the major principles behind the Constitution and the goals contained within the Preamble.
On the other side, students will address the various articles of the Constitution. In Articles I - III, students will focus on the different branches of government (requirements for serving, powers, etc.). Articles IV - VIII address ideas such as how to amend the Constitution and how national laws are supreme to states laws. Students will also focus on certain amendments to the Constitution, including 1, 4, 8, 15, and 19.
The download does include a completed version of the assignment.
Printing the graphic organizer will require 8 1/2 x 14 paper.
I have enjoyed a great deal of success with this graphic organizer, and I hope you will, too!
