PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This assignment was created using Microsoft 7. Included are several activities to be completed during independent reading of Act 2 of The Crucible. I have divided the act into 4 sections. My students use the American Lit textbook published by Pearson/Prentice Hall, so you may have to adjust your page numbers for your particular textbook. The first section is 23 questions about characterization, plot, and literary devices. The second activity focusses on Mary and includes a graphic organizer to trace her behaviors and attitudes. The third activity is separated by characters: John, Elizabeth, Hale, Giles, and Abby. The last worksheet is 30 questions about plot, character, etc. Finally, there is included in this package an essay evaluation with three writing prompts. There is one prompt about the Proctors' relationship, one about Hale's legitimacy and objectivity, and one about the accusations and evidence presented to this point in the play. I use clear font and allow adequate space for students' responses. There are 14 relevant graphics. Thank you for your consideration. Please check out my other products for the Crucible, especially the Puritan Tabloid for Act 3.
