This resource offers diverse activities for The Crucible Act 2.
Included are several activities to be completed during independent reading of Act 2 of The Crucible.
I have divided the act into 4 sections.
My students use the American Literature textbook published by Pearson/Prentice Hall, so you may have to adjust your page numbers for your particular textbook.
The first section is 23 questions about characterization, plot, and literary devices.
The second activity focuses on Mary and includes a graphic organizer to trace her behaviors and attitudes.
The third activity is separated by characters: John, Elizabeth, Hale, Giles, and Abby.
The last worksheet is 30 questions about plot, character, etc.
Finally, included in this package is an essay evaluation with three writing prompts. There is one prompt about the Proctors' relationship,
one about Hale's legitimacy and objectivity,
and one about the accusations and evidence presented to this point in the play.
I use clear font and allow adequate space for students' responses.
There are 14 relevant graphics.
This assignment was created using Microsoft 7, editable.
Thank you for your consideration.
