This "during reading" activity encourages students to be active readers by making predictions as they encounter key quotations in Act One of The Crucible
by Arthur Miller. After making the prediction, students will evaluate the accuracy of their guess by paying attention and recording what actually happens later in the play.
The document was created in PowerPoint, but still allows for easy editing--you can change the instructions, add more activities, or copy/paste the graphic organizers into another worksheet for use with future Acts after you have taught/modeled the strategy in Act One. It's designed to print on standard letter sized paper, so you can just print and go!
