Product Description
Get your students acquainted with some of the core (and sometimes controversial) ideas present within Arthur Miller's Crucible. This assignment is a great starter independent writing, small group/whole class discussion, and introducing the elements of argument. I tell students that while it's important to always have solid reasoning for their beliefs and opinions, it's also important to consider the viewpoints/arguments of others.

There's also an option for them to go back to this activity AFTER they finish reading the play, to see if any of their opinions have changed in light of Miller's work.
