I love The Crucible because of the deep essential questions that it raises about society. This assignment asks the students to pick one of six essential questions—such as “How does a collective fear affect a group of people?”--and to make a poster analyzing that essential question from the multiple perspectives of different characters, Arthur Miller, and themselves.
What you get:
1. Directions--includes the six essential questions and poster format
2. Pre-made poster format--this is attached as an 8.5 x 11, but it is meant to be blown up on to 8.5 x 14 paper or larger for the students
3. Two student samples
You will enjoy the easy prep of this assignment as well as the critical thinking skills it requires of your students!
