Use these interactive learning stations to help introduce "The Crucible" and Puritan writing. There are a total of 8 interactive stations which explore the themes of witchcraft, Puritan life, relationship to Native Americans, the belief in the supernatural, gender roles, church and religion, the definition of "crucible," and McCarthyism. Students will interact with each station in a group and respond to a specific task for each station.
This includes a step-by-step guide to learning stations, the 8 stations, and the handout for students to record their answers on. There are also directions to modify this assignment for digital learning stations on Google Classroom.
This is a fun, easy, and interactive ways for students to get familiar with the text and to provide necessary context to understand the play.
