Product Description
I used this as a culminating project after the students in my class already had a lesson on social commentary before reading this play. We also had covered historical context of the play and read some puritan literature like Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God and discussed how it was an example of social commentary.

Students had to define social commentary, pick out a character of The Crucible that was either a witness or victim of a social injustice and create a piece of visual social commentary from that character's point of view.

Lastly, they had a small writing assignment where they were required to include text-evidence to support a claim.
