Want to empower your students to learn and increase student engagement? Provide differentiated options to engage ALL students in a study of Arthur Miller's, "The Crucible!" Every student receives a seminar task card and they find 2-3 excerpts/quotations from the play, as well as, conduct independent research on their topic to find a secondary article that shows how this topic is still relevant in modern America. Students will then construct at least 3 seminar questions that they will use to help facilitate class discussion during a Socratic Seminar. Whether a full Socratic Seminar, Fishbowl Seminar, or in Panel Round Discussions--every student will be able to see how Miller's "The Crucible" remains relevant in today's society! Perfect for an American Literature course or a U.S. History course!
