Who says you can’t teach novels and plays in AP Lang?
In this expansive resource, I’ve compiled what has worked well for me and my AP Language and Composition students while teaching The Crucible and The Things They Carried. In addition, I’ve added my embedding quotes, assertions, and thesis stems resource.
In the bundles for The Crucible and The Things They Carried, I’ve provided reading questions for each reading section, quote analysis activities, annotations activities, thesis and diction exercises, tools for rhetorical analysis, pre reading assignments, and more text-specific activities and projects. I’ve constructed each unit with AP Lang in mind, so students read each text through a rhetorical analysis mindset.
