A theme chart over the Crucible, including a quote, citation, theme and reasoning/explanation. I had students fill this out while we read, and when we finished the book, students used a row to make in-text citations. Students then chose 3 themes with strong in-text citations they created, and wrote a 5-paragraph essay.
This is an excellent free resource that can be used with my Crucible Theme essay resource. It can also be used as an independent activity; this does not need to be used with the essay.
An example is given on the worksheet.
