This is a Cuban Missile Crisis reading intended for a middle school audience. It gives them the overall story of what happened, has them write a summary, and allows them to color.
A Word doc and PDF file are included.
This is the activity: (It can be edited to fit your classroom needs. Students do not need to do any additional research to complete the activity, but it's an option.)
"Do some additional research on the Cuban Missile Crisis. (Watch a YouTube Video, find a book in the library, read a reputable website!) Then, write a summary on the Cuban Missile Crisis as if you were there and saw it all unfold! You can pretend to be a Russian, American, or Cuban. Be creative, but be accurate. Use details. Write your final draft on the Cuban Missile Crisis summary sheet and then design/color your missile."
The final draft/missile page (as shown) is included.
