This lesson uses the short story "The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttton" and the PG-13 movie. The focus is to develop the children's ability to form their own opinion after looking at the history of the material. It considers an author's history and the way others retell their stories. Students will express their efforts from the activities at the end with an essay that forms their opinion while using the research they have collected. This series was originally designed for high ability 8th graders so it could be used up to 10th or even coupled with a Gatsby unit.
