This is a creative writing assignment that includes suggested children's literature. You will love the book by Drew Daywalt, The Day the Crayons Quit. The lesson plan I created is suggested for 3rd-5th grade students in a Kagan structure. The lesson could be adapted up or down for your classroom's needs. The idea is to have the kids pretend to be a crayon writing a (complaint) letter to the students at your school, just like in the book. The kids love it and you will too! Just updated with a really cool graphic organizer your kids will enjoy.
The document has been uploaded as a PDF. If you would like a Word copy to edit for your own use, just send me a message after purchasing.
I am constantly working to improve my lesson plans, PowerPoints, visuals, etc. If and when I improve this or any other item I have for sale on TPT, I will always offer the updated version to the purchasers of the original at no cost.
If you ever have a concern about any of my lessons feel free to email me. I'm happy to receive any feedback. ElemArts14@yahoo.com
